Score for de Blasio?

Barron's On Board

Council Member Charles Barron's gravy train used to be the Leroy Comrie express; except that train apparently never quite left the station. And neither did Rivera's Bronx tail.

So now Barron is hopping on the de Blasio express - so reports el Politicker.

And word to the word to the word to the word on the street ... is that as we were then, we still are now ... down to just two.

(Though we still leave room for a dark horse.)

Whoever thinks barron holds enough weight to push this in any direction doesn't know how most CMs feel about him. this race is still open to more than just 2.

Blah, blah, blah. Big deal. Until January 4th, no one has anything in stone. So DeBlasio just wrote another check his ass can't cash at the end of the day. What a surprise.

11:22 is right. the only vote that counts in on Jan 4th and it all comes down to Queens.

Its funny because Barron is viewed as a doofus rebel by most Councilmembers. The only thing worse than a Barron endorsement would be one from Weird Al Jennings.

Kudos 12:27...Barron, de blasio and the rest of his crew are going to be running scared as soon as Queens gets involved...how can this thing be anyone but Quinn, Weprin, or Katz.

But for the record I'd be worried. I think Barron is making his own powerplay, watchout for Speaker Barron!

I don't know about Quinn or Weprin but Katz is definitly out of this thing. So is Comrie or Weprin going to be Queens' candidate?

Katz and Weprin are out of this thing. Everyone knows she is positioning to hold land use and to later become the Queens B.P. and Weprin wants to be Comptroller. Neither one of them is a serious candidate.

It absolutely fascinates me how none of you have a clue about anything. Just because Katz wants to become BP (which she doesn't by the way, she'd rather run for Congress) doesn't mean she can't be a serious candidate. Same goes for Weprin. Just because he'd like to be comptroller doesn't mean he isn't a serious candidate. It's all up to one man and his name is Tom Manton.

it all comes down to Manton and manton want a Queens speaker. Weprin is it.
